In this page, we learn that Mark is Jewish. It is an otherwise useless piece of information, and is simply an added element because if I have learned anything in this life, it’s that every group of friends needs a sassy Jew friend. L’chaim!
So now we’ve gotten to know a little bit about Ashley, Jamie and – to an extent – Mark. I guess that means in the next page we might learn something about that other girl who is in every panel? Maybe?
Additionally, here is a random bit of fun: Kristin recently rewatched the Neverending Story, which led to a lengthy discussion between her and myself about whether or not Falcor was a pothead. I adamantly defended him as simply being slow, but Kristin was fairly sure that at one time or another, Falcor had indeed smoked so much pot that he could be an extra in Half Baked or Pineapple Express.
