Did you know: the lyrics on this page are actually written by Kristin, not myself? I bet you didn’t know that. My big contribution here is “Good evening, everyone. We are Charlie the Wallflower.” That’s it! And that’s just an egotistical little reference to my ‘solo project’ back in college when I was trying to be a musician.
What I’m getting at is: Kristin is totally the hero of this comic, and you should all send her happy notes about how awesome her art is. That or flowers. I think she likes flowers.
By the way, for those wondering: yes, Charlie the Wallflower is very much a reference to the Stephen Chbosky book, which I read when I was 14 (I think?) and fell in love with because, like, it was soooo me. You guys know how it is; sometimes you read a book about a nerdy kid who is bad at making friends who likes the Smiths and all you can think of is “oh, man! I totally love ‘Asleep’ as well, Charlie! We’re connected!!” And then you name a ‘band’ after it.
That movie they’re making looks quite awful, though.
